I don't normally take much stock in celebrity endorsements, but when Snarf Snarf O'Bannon recommended this place I had to check it out. I'm glad I did--this place has to be the best antique shop of all time. Very cool.

Can't find any real real antiques to liven up your decor? Don't get too down. Don't get too depressed. This vintage shop is a true 1-for-1 when it comes to delivering the highest quality items rescued from demolition. I stumbled upon some victorian crown molding that was perfect for our cabana. Ceviche never tasted so good than when enjoyed under that crown molding. Truly some uplifting gold from a beautiful family. Best new salvage shop of all time!

I love how organized the displays are in this shop. One of the biggest challenges of an antique shop is displaying their inventory in an uncluttered way that makes it easy to find the treasures (they don't have to be 'hidden' treasures!). A good variety of architectural finds, including a wide variety of lighting styles, plumbing fixtures, and inside/outside architectural features. Excellent selection of hardware (original hinges, knobs etc) and very respectable pricing. You get the sense that if you were looking for something in particular to finish that authentic renovation or design, you could either find it on site, or the owners would source it for you. The owner Nathaniel greeted everyone individually, and we had a friendly conversation about the world of antiquing. We didn't leave empty handed found a great vintage map (and a few project ideas) to take home with us!

This shop is wonderful. Has so many treasures and the owner is beyond helpful. We got so many beautiful vintage and antique items for our new home, thank you! Shopping online is easy and Nathaniel is quick to respond to any questions. If you are driving by this cute town stop in, you’ll be sure to find something special and unique.

We were quite impressed with Historic House Salvage. looking for a particular size of cast iron wall register and they have four to choose from!!Their website and their store are very well organized and well displayed. The bright and open space makes easy to appreciate the objects. The store is well stocked without being crowded.Nathaniel, the owner, was very pleasant and always there ready to take our phone calls (no telephone tag). We made arrangements for a visit to the store and also toured the charming little town of Warkworth. The well preserved old buildings in town, gives you the impression that the people of town are very proud of these historic buildings. We highly recommend the service and wide inventory of Historic House Salvage.

This place is beautiful! It's so organized that it's a joy just to walk around before even looking at everything. Everything is on their website with measurements and the measurements are easy to find in store too. I'll definitely be coming back to add some character finishes to my house!

An absolute delight to work with! My antique French doors arrived more quickly than I anticipated and in perfect condition because they were crated so well (complete with packing separating the doors). Nathaniel answered my emails and was always lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. A+

All I needed to repair an antique cabinet was a small piece of old, thin, glass. I'd searched hi and low over the years with no luck. Then I found Historic House Salvage & Nathaniel. He responded to my request that he had such glass and after a couple of emails, he packaged it up such that Canada Post, UPS, DHL & FedEx couldn't have collectively damaged the glass and shipped it across the country, all for a very reasonable price. Thanks Nathaniel.

Went in to look at a " console wall sink" only to find it purchased just hours earlier! But found a wall mount cast iron sink to use instead. Great assortment of glass doorknobs and face plates to replace missing ones in my house. Doors, lights, furniture and different oddities that could keep you in that store for hours. Helpful staff with tips for me. Will visit again.

Awesome little corner to find salvaged items.Nathaniel was friendly and helpful.Prices are fair and the selection of historic hardware was impressive.Update... Nathaniel, I'm a bit stingy with my stars...But I think you just earned that 5th star. I like to leave room for improvement...and your response to my review should tell others most everything they need to know.Cheers.

My neighbour Mark and I are big fans of Historic House. Mark visited the store and raved about the interesting selection and service. I haven’t been to the location yet but really enjoy browsing the website. It’s easy to navigate, always full of new treasures to discover and apparently will be getting even better soon. I did sell something to the owner Nathaniel. He was punctual, personable and fair with pricing. Highly recommend!

Lighting, doors and so much more! If you are looking to save the charm of an older home during its restoration/renovation, this is the place. There is a wide selection of doors, ceiling lighting and hardware not to mention antiques.I've been to Historic House Salvage a few times. It's always great to visit in person with Nathaniel and to get a look at new items coming threw before they get posted online. My advice is, if you see something you like/need, get it because it won't be there the next time you go.

We were recommended to go see Nathaniel at Historic House Salvage and were reluctant because it was a bit out of the way. Boy, are we happy we drove the extra 30 minutes! Not only did he have a beautiful selection of products but his willingness to source and deliver what we were searching for was second to none. His follow up and communications were prompt and precise and in no time Nathaniel was delivering a large load of old barn beams to our building site in Sudbury with a smile! So reminiscent of times lost when people went above and beyond in sales and service. We will be eternally grateful to Nathaniel and every time we look lovingly at our old beams and our gorgeous old world bench in our new construction house, we will be reminded that good people do still exist!Update: Added a few photos of the beams cleaned and installed. Moving toward the finish line on the build and honestly without these beauties this house would just be a house but thanks to Nathanial it is our dream European farmhouse! Not only do the beams speak volumes of energy but we have the fun story of Nathanial and his boy delivering them. Can’t possibly be more grateful!

I dropped in to Historic House Salvage just to browse and walked out with a great little trunk. Well, Nathaniel did actually, as he loaded it into my car :). Great service. This is a wonderful hidden gem in the beautiful village of Warkworth. Nicely displayed treasures of salvage pieces and a good selection of antiques. A must visit for sure.

So delighted to have discovered Historic House Salvage and the lovely antique desk we purchased from Nathaniel. There is so much we like about this place, but besides the lofty, well organized space with great selection, interesting salvage pieces and antiques, Nathaniel is a pleasure to deal with and is genuinely interested in his clientele. Warkworth is an easy dash off the 401 in lovely countryside, with some other interesting stops along the path. We will most certainly be back!

Happened upon this gem of a place this past weekend and was so glad that I did. Fell in love with an old hutch that I just had to have. Nathaniel was so very helpful, putting my piece on hold till I could get home and measure my space. Happy to report the hutch is all warm and cozy now in my hallway. Such an amazing price too. I was also pleasantly surprised that Nathaniel delivered it for me a few days later at no extra charge. I hope he has a frequent buyers card as I plan to visit again soon.

Nathaniel has the most amazing shop of treasures. Not only did he help us find the coolest vintage doors for our renovation, but he matched up the hardware for the doors and refinished them to perfection. He even customized a lock for one door. The selection inside is stunning and Nathaniel went over and above to accommodate us. Highly recommend this shop. Customer service is next level.

Nathaniel is seriously one of the best! I ended up calling him Nate just because we had so many message exchanges! Shopping virtually wasn’t easy but he made it so enjoyable! We ordered a clawfoot tub from him and the experience from the beginning to the end was nothing but incredible. He went far and beyond- not only dropped it off at a local shop specializes in restoration, picked it up from them, and also delivered to our house. A 300 pound baby! We wouldn’t be able to do this without him seriously! So grateful! Will be a regular customer for sure.
